Maureen O\'Sullivan is a lecturer in law at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Her main research interests are information technology law, intellectual property law, sociology of law, social policy, the Information Society and technology and development. She has acted as an advisor, both formally and informally to many governments and has published widely in the field of free software in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
