Confira os detalhes da palestra que acontecerá no 7º Fórum Internacional de Software Livre, de 19 á 22 de Abril em Porto Alegre.

Richard will provide explanation from a legal point of view on how the GPL changes from the version 2 to the first draft of version 3, and explain how the key issues, such as software patents and DRMs, will be addressed in this new version of the license.

Richard Fontana

Richard Fontana works for the Software Freedom Law Center. He already worked as an associate at intellectual property boutique law firms in Chicago and Seattle. Earlier in his career he was an associate in the litigation department of Rogers & Wells (now Clifford Chance) in New York. Mr. Fontana graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was an editor of the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform. He received a master\'s degree in computer science from Yale University and a bachelor\'s degree in history from Wesleyan University.
